Foil Paper Art – Krishna Pattern - A Tutorial

In my Puja room (home temple) I have kept almost every Gods idol/frame but Krishnaji was missing. So instead of buying it I decided to make my own. Check the brief tutorial of Foil Paper Art – Krishna Pattern:

Basic Material Used for Foil Paper Art:

• Krishna Pattern on Butter paper or chart paper
• Piece of glass with frame
• Aluminium Foil paper(Gold or Silver whichever is available)
• Black Asian oil paint
• Black outliner
• Brush

Procedure for Foil Paper Art:

• Place Pattern below the Glass Sheet and draw the pattern on glass with the help of outliner from above.
• Paint the background with black color and let it dry. 
• For Krishna-No need to color just take aluminium foil paper (almost the size of your glass frame), fold it  carefully and slightly crush it then again open it carefully.
• Place the crush foil paper sheet on glass on the same side where  you have painted black color .
• Fix the foil paper on glass with solo tape.
• on the other side you will get the result that is the below picture.
• Frame it and hang it on puja room.

DIY Tutorial - Stroke Painting

I have again come up with my new painting which I can say is best out of waste. It’s best out of waste because I’ve used a left-over plywood sheet. If you are not lucky enough to have a spare one at home you can easily buy one, of required dimension, from your neighborhood store.

Basic Material required for Stroke Painting

• Wooden board (Preferred size).
• Pattern of your choice
• Asian Black Paint
• Camlin Paint Brush (Size: 00, 3/4)
• Camel Metallic Bronze color
• Camel Metallic Copper color

Steps for Stroke Painting

• Color the wooden board with black Asian paint. Let it dry.
• Start painting the pattern with the help of 3/4 size paint brush and Camel Metallic Copper color. (If you are not comfortable in directly using color on board then draw the pattern with pencil first and then color it). Let it dry
• Outline the pattern with Camel Metallic Bronze color (Use Camlin Paint Brush size 00 for outline) and if needed apply shading.
• Frame it and hang it.
